Our mission is to strengthen the ability of Ghanaian organisations to access development funding through skilled grant writing and proposal preparation.
Why We Exist
Across Ghana, countless organisations work on critical development challenges — from education and health to environmental conservation and economic empowerment. Many of these organisations have deep community knowledge, proven track records, and innovative approaches to solving local problems.
Yet many struggle to access the funding that could amplify their impact. Not because their work lacks merit, but because the process of identifying suitable funding opportunities, interpreting donor requirements, and preparing competitive proposals requires specialised knowledge that many organisations have not had the opportunity to develop.
We exist to bridge this capacity gap through practical, hands-on training that builds the skills organisations need to approach funding opportunities with confidence and competence.
Our Approach
We believe that effective grant writing training must be practical, not theoretical. Each workshop is built around real call-for-proposal documents from international development agencies, foundations, and bilateral donors active in West Africa.
Participants work through actual funding announcements, learning to decode requirements, understand evaluation criteria, and develop proposal components that respond directly to what donors are asking for. This approach ensures that the skills learned in our workshops transfer immediately to real-world funding applications.
What We Do Not Do
Clarity about our scope helps organisations understand how we can serve them
We Do Not Connect You with Donors
We focus on building your capacity to identify and research funding opportunities independently. We do not maintain relationships with donors on behalf of participants or facilitate introductions.
We Do Not Guarantee Funding
Completing our training does not guarantee that proposals you submit will be funded. Success depends on proposal quality, competition, donor priorities, and alignment between your work and funder objectives.
We Do Not Write Proposals for You
Our purpose is to build your team's capacity to write proposals independently. We teach the process, provide feedback on practice exercises, but do not offer proposal writing services.
We Do Not Provide Ongoing Consulting
Our workshops are structured training events. While participants receive resource materials and templates, we do not provide ongoing proposal review or consulting services after the workshop concludes.
What We Believe
We believe that Ghanaian organisations are the most effective agents of development in their own communities. They understand local context, have established relationships, and can design interventions that respond to actual needs rather than external assumptions.
When these organisations gain the skills to articulate their work in ways that meet international donor requirements, they become more competitive for funding that can sustain and scale their impact. This is not about changing the work — it is about communicating it effectively to those who control resources.
